I believe that the Creator God exists and can be known personally. One way God has communicated to people is through prophets and apostles who recorded truth with written words that provide wisdom and power for life. This is the foundation of all that is found contained on this site.
I pursue growth through study, reading, journal keeping, taking solitude, praying, exercising, serving, worshipping, and confession (private). Each includes quiet time, mediation, prayer, and time with family.
During my senior year of high school, I began to sense God calling me to vocational ministry. Others encouraged and prayed for me, and after college graduation I was ordained to ministry by the leaders of the First Christian Church of Holyoke, Colorado. One privilege of this life is to be included in another’s search for a relationship with God. This drives my passion for knowing the written Word of God. I enjoy listening to questions and pointing people to find answers in the Bible.
I have been married for more than forty years to Sandy. We raised 4 children along the way. I spend a lot of my free time reading, gardening, sightseeing, hiking, and backpacking.
